Larry Armes,
Operations Manager
Account Executive
On-Air Personality
Larry joined the WVHL team in
August 2003 and he is looking forward to meeting the challenges
ahead, in serving his advertising clients with radio
opportunities to promote their business.
"I may have been new to 'Radio Advertising' but I
am not new to sales, as I operated my own business (Armes TV &
Appliance, Inc.) in Crewe Va, for over 17 years".
Larry has found out from experience
that what's required is not 'Selling' but "Helping" people to solve
problems in achieving their goals and successes.
"That's the commitment that I
bring to WVHL and our clients".
Larry is a proud family man, married to his wife Marsha for 25
years with sons George, Jason, and Josh, 2 Grandchildren Zachary and
Jeremy, and not forgetting his pet Dachshund 'Hattie'.

Lori Jones
Program Director
Office manager
On-Air Personality
Lori joined the WVHL team in January 2006. Prior to this
she worked at Hatfield Meats in PA., for 21 years. She worked in the bacon
department for 14 years then transferred to the office to work as an accounts
payable clerk. She left there in October 2005 to move to VA.
Working in radio is new to Lori and she finds it very interesting. She does the
traffic and office work in the morning and then DJ’s in the afternoon from 2-6.
The best part of her job is meeting the artists and going to Nashville. She
still finds it hard to believe she is working in this field, as she loves
country music.
Lori is married to Homer and has one daughter, Gwen who is married to Dan
Albert. She is proud to have two grandchildren, Kylee and Easton, they too live in VA.
When not working, Lori enjoys scrap-booking, reading, knitting & crocheting, and
spending time with her grandchildren. She also has three Lhasa’s, Shana, Sierra
and Savanna who share her time.

Doug McClure
Sales Manager
Doug has been in radio since he took an
early retirement from Dominion-Virginia Power in 1994. Doug grew up in Indiana,
where the corn goes on and on everywhere you look! Doug has been a transplant
(Virginian) since 1982 when he “saw the light” and moved to the South where it’s
a whole lot warmer!
Doug claims he’s learned a lot during his years in radio advertising. “I’ve
learned working with business clients, that we’re partners when promoting their
business.” “Their success is my success.”
Doug is married to “Ms. Betty” and lives on a ridge in the country (lot’s of
trees and critters). In Doug’s spare time, he and Betty like to travel, eat
seafood and steaks in Mom & Pop restaurants, surf the net, and just relax at the
homestead.
Give Doug a call today! As Doug says, “I’ve never met a stranger.”
